Turn out: 32. Game Report by Joe Lambert
If you have a story about this day, email it to me.

A huge turn out

Pre-game: It was suppose to get into the mid 40's, I was the first to show up (as usual). By about 12:15 PM the last players showed up. We had 32 people show up. Paul started setting up teams. I got up and went over the rules. Paul brought the Backyard's new signal horn, bought with the left over funds from the Netting money drive. The horn, like all horns set up to use a CO2 tank, has a lever that must be pressed just the right amount to get a good loud blast. It takes a little practice to make it work good (more about that later). I ended up on the red team.
Game 1. {Attack/Defense} Attack(Red)/Defend(Yellow) Bridge/Corner, Mike suggested the we use the corner for our defence fort instead of the traditional Bunker. We, the yellow team were in postion at the Corner Fort. With the new addition of the signal horn, I had earlier suggested we use a warning honk, followed in about 30 seconds by a second honk to start the game. When it was time to start the game Mike sounded the warning honk. It was a puny honk. (Mike needs more practice.) Well, someone said, "you better give them another (warning honk) to make sure they (the other team) heard it", so Mike did, getting a better honk this time. I began to worry maybe the other (red) team might have heard both honks and just started moving. We waited about 30 seconds and moved out after the starting honk. Mike , Paul, Jon, I and a few others headed to the "Bunker". When the red team got to the "rise" before we could make the "bunker" I knew the start had got messed up. We brought fire on them an forced them back over the "rise" I was trying to flank red players when I was hit. I think I got 1 of them. Yellow won.
Game 2. {Attack/Defense} Attack(Yellow)/Defend(Red) Bridge/Corner/ No warning Honk this time. Paul, Mike and I made our way through the "reeds" down to the end of the field. Mike made for the "Log Fort" while Paul and I supplied suppression fire. I think Mike got hit about the time Paul moved to him. I was taking fire from (Dan Son) the little brushy fort that is between the "log Fort" and the creek. I finally got hit. I watched as our players took the "Bunker" and "Log Fort" but time ran out. Red won.
Game 3. {Capture the Flag} Yellow-Bridge/Red-Old I ran out of paint and made a red player surrender in this game. Tie

Who says paintballers aren't good looking?

Yellow players get ready for the next game
Game 4. {Capture the Flag} Yellow-Old/Red- Bridge/ Craig's kamakaze plan scared me in this game. I got shot out early. Tie

Game 5. {All Field fort capture} Red Bridge/Yellow Corner We beat their butts in this game. I ran out of air and made a red player surrender in this game, Yellow won

I requested the Superman pose from Jon

Game 6. {Capture the Flag} Yellow-Bridge/Red/ I sat in the Bridge Fort the whole game on this one, Red threatened us toward the end. Jon and I were holding them off when our guys came in behind them with the flag. To the Red teams credit, they were down several players at the end of the day. Yellow won.
