Turnout: 53

Please email me any stories you might have from this day and I'll add it. (Joe)

Overview (Joe): It was perfect paintball weather, high of 45, light wind and sunny. Craig Stanford counted 53 players as we were making sides. A new all time high! Rhet showed up after a long absence with a friend (Joe), I loaned Joe my spare GT. A group from 2 hours away came after finding this site on the web. Another from around Goodfield also came. It was a great day!

From Ryan Price: I came to the backyard with Cory Kline from Onarga. We were the group that came from 2 hours away. I had a great time at the Backyard and I would recommend it to anyone. Cory is planning on going again and i am really looking forward to the next time. Thanks for setting up this place you did a wonderful job keep up the good work.

Record Turnout!!!

Game 1-A/D on the Bunker/Red attack/Yellow defend-(Joe Lambert) I was on the Yellow team. I floated on the rise for a while, when the fight slowed Mike A and I drifted over on the "Rise" to Log Fort but saw nothing. Time ran out and we (yellow) won. I never fired a shot. The red team never got close, Craig (on the Red team) said no one was listening to him.

Game 2-A/D on the Bunker/ Yellow attack/Red defend-(Joe Lambert) We split our attack in two, one direct on the "Rise", the second, through the "Reeds". I went up the reeds with Mike and several other Yellows. Some of us moved to the edge of the field to flank shoot some of the defender who moved to far forward behind bunkers and in the Dead Man fort in the center of the field. I and about 4 others push up the "Reeds" until we ran into resistance across from the old crossing fort's posistion. I spotted and took out the lone gunman who was behind the large wood pile at the edge og the field. That blew it open. We took out the remainder of their guy who were out in the feild by flank them out of thier cover and moved across toward the "Bunker". I was out of air, but I finally remembered that I've been carrying around a Tippmann Grenade (that I got in the Big Red One Big Game at CPP in 2000). Well, I charged the "Bunker", tossed it, it bounced off the tree growing in front of the Bunker and fell back near me (Note to self: Don't look at the thing you don't want to hit when you throw your grenade). It didn't go off, so I picked it up and threw it again just as we shoot out the last defender. The grenade never went off, I was glad I didn't pay for it! Yellow Won (I'm 2 for 2).

Game 3-Capture the Flag / Yellow Crossing/Red Corner/Blue Bridge-(Joe Lambert) Mike and I had been talking about the idea of dispersing the play out if we ever got a huge turnout. So we came up with the 3 team idea. Yellow won.

Game 4-Capture the Flag / Blue Crossing/Yellow Corner/Red Bridge-(Joe Lambert) We played defense, Tie

Game 5-Capture the Flag / Red Crossing/Blue Corner/Yellow Bridge-(Joe Lambert) This was a fun game we decided to do a all out assaut on the Blue Corner fort. We only left 1 guy to defend our flag. The blue team held us up at the bunker just long enough that the Red team got our flag before we could get back with the blue flag. Red won. Craig took his boys and went home after winning his first (and last) game.
(J. Reinholdt) The blue team (us) sent 10 of like 15 guys towards the crossing fort to take them out while the team that was in the bridge fort (yellow) took us out from the other side. Still alot of fun though.

Game 6-Capture the Flag 30 minute game, team with the most flags wins/ Yellow Crossing/Red Bunker/Blue Log-(Joe Lambert) We got all 3 flags, Yellow won. (I'm 4 for 6)

Game 7-Capture the Flag / Blue Old/Yellow Bridge-(Joe Lambert) Tie if it was a 15 min game, but We played it out since it was going to be the last game and the Yellow team won.
